"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

The appeal of vector art has always stuck in my mind. Vector art, is based upon mathmatical formulae to represent curves, lines, and the shading within.
I tend to be the sort of person who loves to be able to explain everything, so having a set of rules to define systems and the like has always appealed to me. It only seems natural in hindsight that I have an affiliation with art based on similar systems.
Attempting to recreate photographs in vector art is a slow process (for me at least), especially as I don't have much experience yet, but I'm a patient person and it'll all get done eventually.
Well, I've uploaded my first piece of artwork.... I expect as time goes on I'll actually start uploading both the photographs I've already taken, and then any derivative artwork I create from them.
Hopefully I'll be able to try out different styles of drawing, and eventually (in the distant future) I'd like to work on some comics as a hobby.
